We are in the midst of one of the deepest recessions to hit us since the Great Depression in 1929. With over 2 million unemployed and the deficit ever rising there has never been less faith on the international market than there is now. Because we live in an age where monetary systems are governed according to confidence, you only have to imagine the effect that this lack of faith is having on the value of Sterling and, lo and behold, we are currently seeing a devaluation of the currency. This means that everything abroad has suddenly become much more expensive as the Euro is much less favourably exchanged with the pound. Obviously, with holidays abroad costing much more money you are looking to save wherever you possibly can.
Cardiff airport offers numerous cheap flights to a whole assortment of destinations. Airlines such as Jet2 an Ryanair fly all over the world for a fraction of the cost that it would be on another airline. Of course you don’t get the same level of comfort and perhaps you only get tea and coffee instead of a meal, but these concessions are more than worth the saving that you make on your flight. You might even be able to afford an extra night out whilst on your holiday. And let’s face it, if it’s the choice between having a plastic plane meal or a meal out in a gourmet French restaurant, there is only one thing that you are going to choose!

When you are on the internet and looking for a flight, a lot of the jargon can appear meaningless. You can be reading pages and pages of meaningless words when all you want to do is book a flight and be able to relax about your holiday; all this additional information only serves to make you more stressed and annoyed than you wanted to be when you started. The worst part is that you know that in and amongst all the unnecessary phrasing and the abbreviated terms is very important information about your flight; times of arrival and departure, airports, check in details etc. It’s just a matter of decoding all the jargon and finding out the information.
The most annoying part is that many websites abbreviate the airports and some will not recognise the full name of the airport – only the abbreviated form. This, of course, creates massive problems if you are unsure of the abbreviated term and can lead to additional research and time that could be better spent doing more important things. For Cardiff airport, the airport code (that is the abbreviated term) is CWL. Whenever you are searching for a flight that is flying into, or flying out of Cardiff airport, the surest way to find out all the details is to use this code. It will bring the airport up straight away and help you to cross out one of the annoyingly confusing tasks that slow down your holiday booking and almost guarantee a mistake being made!
